    March Reading Wrap-Up

It’s a short post for today! This month I had my PhD viva (thankfully I passed!), travelled back to Edinburgh for a week, finally got to the end of my 75 Hard Challenge. All things considered, it’s been a bit of a crazy month.

I knew I probably wasn’t going to read that much, but I’m still happy with how much I managed amidst all the stress.

I’m also keeping up with positing regularly on my bookstagram. If you don’t already follow me on there, find me @readwhileitrains.

    THE BEST

It’s a month without a 5-star read so naturally I’m a little disappointed. Rage and Ruin by Jennifer L. Armentrout was a fun second book in the Harbinger series which kept me very entertained as I travelled to Edinburgh and back. It wasn’t quite as good as the first book though. The Crimson Moth by Kristen Ciccarelli was another really enjoyable read. I was surprised about just how much I got into the story, even if it did feel a bit silly at points.

    THE WORST

After enjoying books one and two in the Harbinger series, I was very disappointed in Grace and Glory by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I’ve given it a very generous 3-stars as I did love the characters, but honestly this book was a drag compared to the other two and I really had to battle to finish it. The pop culture references also started to drive me up the wall. I can’t remember them being that bad in the other books!

In April I’m hoping to get back on a roll with reading, and really could do with a few more 5-star reads! I have so many books I’m excited to get to, keep an eye on my current reads on Instagram @readwhileitrains.
