April’s Tackling the TBR has been a total success! I read two of the books and DNFd the other, but all the books are now off my TBR- I immediately unhauled the DNFd one. You can read my April Wrap-Up here.
It seems that making a public TBR is keeping me a bit more accountable than I would be otherwise, as I am definitely more of a mood reader. So, this month I am upping the ante by reading 4 books from my TBR. Two of these are books that I picked up when I was much more excited in them, and have subsequently lost at least some of that interest. The other two are books that I am really excited about, so I’m putting them in to be a bit kinder to myself this month.

Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon.
This is the oldest book on my TBR (since 2018!) and definitely one that I have lost the hype for. I’m hoping to love it after all this time. The cover is amazing!

Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk, translated by Antonia Lloyd-Jones.
I am excited about this one! I’m reading it for a book club and have only heard wonderful things about it.

We Play Ourselves by Jen Silverman.
Like, Three Things, this is another book that I was interested in a while ago and have definitely lost interest in- especially as I’ve heard lots of negative things about it too. Reviews aside, it’s time to finally tackle this read!

Hare House by Sally Hinchcliffe.
I got this book for Christmas and despite some mixed reviews, I am still very interested in it! I particularly like the gothic Scottish setting and have high expectations going into it.
What’s on your TBR for May? Let me know in the comments below!
